Episode 7
What a difference a doctor makes

WE BEGIN WITH A HUSBAND AND WIFE SITTING IN BED IN AN AWKWARD SILENCE.

WIFE (coughs awkwardly)
So… um, how did it go at the doctors?

HUSBAND (THOUGHTS)
How did it go? You should try telling a complete stranger something that personal...

The scene changes to show Husband in the doctor's office. Husband is looking completely abashed and unable to speak.

DOCTOR
So… what seems to be the problem? Husband flicks his eyes downwards and looks away.

DOCTOR
It’s… personal?

Husband, still looking away, whistles idly whilst producing a card with an arrow that points toward his crotch. As the doctor looks down Husband slowly turns the card so the arrow points downwards…

DOCTOR
Ah, I’ve got it! – And (reveals packet) it’s treatable! The scene morphs back to the bedroom.

HUSBAND (THOUGHTS)
Though in the end it was fine. The doc told me one in four men suffer from... my problem. And I saw at least six guys in the waiting room when I left.

The scene changes to show Husband in the waiting room looking at six guys sitting in a row. He points at the most macho one:

HUSBAND
I’m guessing it’s you.

The macho guy begins to cry.
